A tan and white Shetland Sheepdog, Matisse has a penchant for cleanliness and a heart of gold, he suffers from the Napoleon complex that all small dogs
have. Inherently insecure about his small size, he has overcome it with over-education and a distaste for “dog-like” behaviour. He’s a philanthropooch determined to transcend his “dogginess,” to save humanity from itself. More often then not, his attempts are often misguided and land him in hot water. Despite his blundering efforts, he's a high-brow, sharply witty, little dog using clever plans to outsmart his enemies, sometimes with hilariously unintended results. Snobbish, cerebral and downright neurotic; Matisse is a canine Frasier Crane.

Matisse tackles his adventures with a good heart and good intentions; sometimes overshooting his goal and falling flat on his face. He’s not Lassie--but he aspires to be.
